Who We Are

LGEF is a parent-run, non-profit organization that funds supporting programs in science, math, art and technology Lexington, Daves Avenue, Blossom Hill, Van Meter elementary schools and RJ Fisher Middle Schoo.

The Foundation was founded in 1982 by concerned parents and community members in response to severe cutbacks in public school funding and programs following the passage of Proposition 13.

Since its formation, LGEF has contributed over $8 million to supplement the district’s limited budget.

The Need for Private Fundraising

The current funding of our public school system is inadequate to deliver the programs, teachers, and materials needed to provide Los Gatos children with a quality, well-rounded education.

With continued cutbacks in public funding at the state and local levels, the need for additional, private funding will continue to increase.

The critical supplemental funding of educational programs through LGEF will play an even more significant role in maintaining the quality of our schools.
